All Things Being Equal: Blacks Pay More

A new study finds that black women pay the highest rates of all home loan borrowers, while black in general are charged higher interest rates than their white counterparts, reports Jaeah Lee.

These disparities translate into dollars, with a black woman, for example, paying nearly $9,000 more than a white woman for the same 30-year, 200K mortgage.

In other words, the authors conclude, the most vulnerable suffer most under the current system.
