President Obama signed an executive order, “which more than quadruples the size of the Papahānaumokuākea (pronounced “Papa-ha-now-moh-koo-ah-kay-ah”) Marine National Monument off the coast of Hawaii.”The agreement was reacted after negotiating with environmentalists, native Hawaiians and commercial fisherman.

President Obama has protected more of America’s natural resources than any other president before him.  He has made good on many of his promises to protect and consider the environment as America looks to combat climate change and become independent of foreign sources of energy.
