Betsy DeVos, Trump’s nominee for Secretary of Education copied other people’s work and used sources without citing them on the questionnaire that she filled out for the Senate Committee who was questioning her fitness to be Secretary of Education. Had she done that in a paper in high school she would have received an “F,” but in this new Republican world where lies are meaningless and called alternative facts, this comes as no surprise. Right from wrong be damned. Nation over party? – Not anymore. She was approved today by the Committee and will now face a full Senate vote.
Trump has nominated a woman who has no experience as an educator, no education that would qualify to be an educator and certainly offers nothing that would give any thinking person reason to believe that she would make a good Secretary of Education. Why is she the nominee? Well, given that she is a billionaire and has contributed millions of dollars to Republican campaigns it might make one think that might have something to do with it.
