The day after the election the devastation that was felt was apparent in every corner of America. Included in that expression of despair were those that work in the tech industry. Many are immigrants and knew that they and their families were going to be on the front lines of Trump’s America. But that didn’t translate into a paralyzing fear instead, they have stood up and stood against Trump and his policies.
According to The Atlantic,
In response, an uptick in activism is evident throughout the industry: Attendance at meetings of advocacy groups like the Tech Workers Coalition have spiked. New organizations like Tech Solidarity have emerged. Last week, at a rally held by a new group called Tech Stands Up, around 1,000 people showed up over the course of the afternoon in downtown Palo Alto to show their support.
