Michael T. Flynn, President Trump’s first national security adviser, may have violated federal law when seeking security clearance to work in the Trump administration when he failed to fully disclose his business dealings with Russia, said top oversight committee members from both parties in the House, reports Enmarie Huetteman.

Republican representative and chairman of the House oversight committee, Jason Chaffetz, had this to say, “As a former military officer, you simply cannot take money from Russia, Turkey or anybody else… And it appears as if he did take that money. It was inappropriate, and there are repercussions for a violation of law.”

White House officials have so far refused to hand over documents related to Flynn’s hiring and firing despite requests from Congress on Tuesday.
