Thanks to HuffPost Women, we are hearing in real time what women think of the GOP’s massive tax cut for the wealthy—which is currently masquerading as a health care bill—under the hashtag #IAmAPreexistingCondition.
The latest version of the GOP’s American Health Care Act, which passed in the House on Thursday by a 217-213 vote, allows health insurers to charge more for preexisting conditions, and a good many of them, such as postpartum depression, pertain specifically to women and their health care—despite an amendment to the bill that reads, “Nothing in this Act shall be construed as permitting health insurance issuers to discriminate in rates for health insurance coverage by gender.”
Under the GOP bill, for example, insurance companies could charge women higher premiums if they have experienced rape, domestic violence and/or undergone cesarean sections and even cancer treatments—putting health care insurance out of reach for so many American women and families.

I'm a woman
I'm a disabled veteran
I've had 2 c-sections
I'm not a condition – I'm a person
AND I FUCKING VOTE#IAmAPreexistingCondition

But the list of preexisting conditions doesn’t stop there and doesn’t only negatively impact women. Take a look at all that the GOP has done for all American women, men and children, including veterans, the elderly, the poor and the disabled.
