First, police killed this 12-year-old boy who was alone in the park, opening fire within seconds of jumping out of their car. Minutes later, they pinned his 14-year-old sister to the ground. Next, reports Dani McClain, “a media outlet dragged his parents’ names through the mud, implying that their unrelated brushes with the law made them at least somewhat culpable for their child’s death.”

Finally, the Cuyahoga County prosecutor’s office announced this week that Timothy Loehmann, the Cleveland officer who killed Rice last year, would not face any state criminal charges. How is that possible?
