Trae Vassallo and Michele Madansky wanted to get the real numbers. They wanted the answer to, “how prevalent was sexual harassment of women in the tech world?” So they created a survey and 200 women in tech filled it out.
What they found was staggering. A full 60% of women reported having been sexually harassed on the job. Another 65% said that their harasser was their boss. More than half of those didn’t report the harassment for fear of damaging their careers. The survey allowed for personal anecdotes that sadly the tell the stories behind the numbers in more graphic detail.
