The histories, the stories of “comfort women” and their experiences at the hands of Japanese are demanding to be told. Not just how it happened, what the women and their families went through, but also the current attempt to make good by the Japanese government. Questions abound about how it happened, who turned a blind eye and what needs to be still done to bring justice. Danielle Harms has put a list of books together that at a minimum will shed light on horror and terror that these “comfort women” faced each and every day at the hands of the Japanese soldiers.
