It took one tweet from a woman who had had enough and the floodgates open.  Amber Coffman, of the band Dirty Projectors, sent out a tweet alleging that she had been assaulted by a “very popular music publicist.” She went on to name Heathcliff Berru as the man she was referencing.  Yasmine Kittles, read the tweet and quickly posted one of her own experience with Berru.  That was all it took.  Other women and musicians weighed in, no longer afraid to do the right thing. They outed a powerful music publicist, a  man who had been accused of assaulting many women over the years.

Berru has subsequently resigned from his company and issued a statement blaming his behavior on his use of drugs and alcohol.
