The Global Healthy Weight Registry is just another way researchers are trying to help address the obesity epidemic in this country.

The Cornell University Food and Brand Lab recently released some of the answers from 147 study participants who have maintained a healthy weight for most, if not all, of their lives. About half said they weighed themselves at least weekly; almost all said they ate breakfast daily, and about 90 percent said they exercised regularly, writes Olga Khazan:

Forty-two percent work out five or more times per week. The majority always eat vegetables at dinner and say chicken is their ‘favorite meat.

But nearly three-quarters said they “rarely” dieted.
