Condoms haven’t changed all that much in the last 100 years when the first latex condom was invented. Ever since we’ve been obliged to fumble with drab, hard-to-open wrappers and less than earth-shaking creations therein.
“We owe a lot of our design and evolution to our customers,” says Courtney.
Enter Lovability Condoms, a woman-run NYC startup, dedicated to making condom use “delightful.” Abby Norman asked founders Tiffany Gaines and Claire Courtney to explain: “We wanted to create a condom that looked so different, users couldn’t ignore it,” so they asked hundreds of people to tell them what their “dream condom” would look (and feel) like.
