Almost by the unanimous accolades of both Republicans and Democrats alike, Michelle Obama is said to have given the two best speeches of the year, both for Hillary Clinton. The first was at the Democratic National Convention and the second was on the campaign trail two weeks ago when she went after Donald Trump, without mentioning his name, for his treatment of women.
Many of us hope, including my nine-year-old daughter that she will run for president in 2024. But those that know her best assert that it will never happen. According to her friends Michelle Obama longs for a life of normalcy where she can drive herself and walk out of the door without legions of secret service beside her.
What will she do when they leave office come January? No official plans have been announced, but one can be sure that whatever she does she will do it with her inimitable style, grace, and passion.
