President Trump wanted his lie about millions of people illegally voting to be investigated so the Commission on Election Integrity was formed. Kris Kobach, Secretary of State for the state of Kansas is the vice chair. Kobach is notorious for his investigation into non-existent voter fraud in the state of Kansas.

That folly continues as he has written a letter to the Secretaries of State of all 50 states in his role as vice chair, demanding that they provide the following:

The full first and last names of all registrants, middle names or initials if available, addresses, dates of birth, political party (if recorded in your state), last four digits of social security number if available, voter history (elections voted in) from 2006 onward, active/inactive status, cancelled status, information regarding any felony convictions, information regarding voter registration in another state, information regarding military status, and overseas citizen information.

So far several secretaries of state have refused to provide him with the information requested including Kentucky, California, Virginia, and Massachusetts.

This is an example of taxpayer money being spent because of Trump’s ego. He did not win the popular vote and can’t get over the fact that Hillary Clinton received more than 3 million votes than he did. There is absolutely no evidence of millions of people illegally voting. Voter fraud is non-existent and is an unsubstantiated right-wing talking point that is used to suppress voting.
