Donald Trump said that his sexual escapades during the 80’s were his “personal Vietnam. I feel like a great and very brave soldier.” Never one to put himself at risk, except for sexual disease, he has now reversed the ruling made in 2016 that opened the doors to any and all people regardless of gender to serve in the military.

Ashton Carter, who was Defense Secretary under President Obama, said the following at the time:

Our mission is to defend this country, and we don’t want barriers unrelated to a person’s qualification to serve preventing us from recruiting or retaining the soldier, sailor, airman or Marine who can best accomplish the mission.

Now Trump, a draft dodger, has reversed course and is banning transgender people from serving in the military.
