Girls and women the world over are routinely shamed, and discriminated against for how they look and what they choose to wear, all the while being told that they are too “distracting” or “inappropriate” for school, work, and other social occasions.

BuzzFeed‘s Rossalyn Warren has put together an eye-opening and lengthy list of all the clothing items that women have been told not to wear, just in 2015! The list includes such risqué items as skirts, jeans and flat shoes. You can see why we might need some guidance. -Danielle Bizzarro
