Three Women, Roomies For Life

Nancy Fassett, 83, Margaret Sugg and Barbara Fletcher, 75, have been rooming together for almost 50 years.

Many are quick to call them “The Golden Girls,” but roommates like these three are not exactly common. Another former roommate from their college days thinks her friends are “wonderful and unusual,” writes Christina Ianzito, but is quick to point out that they are not gay. And Fletcher’s sister says they are just ‘good people’ who made a go of it.
