Rising Sea-Level Encroaching On Florida’s Coast

Senator Marco Rubio and former Governor Jeb Bush, like most Republicans don’t believe in climate change. The fact that 98% of the scientific community does and has sounded a global alarm falls is meaningless to them. Will the fact that Florida’s coastline is changing due to rising sea-levels do anything to change their mind? The size of the coming disaster is considerable with “69 billion dollars worth of property at risk for being lost.” Even as local politicians are scrambling to address the coming danger, the silence from the top is deafening.
