A judge ruled last Friday that Kesha could not get out of her contract with Dr. Luke, a man who allegedly raped her and mentally abused her. She has filed a lawsuit accusing him of sexual assault, battery, and sexual harassment. Dr. Luke has denied the allegations.  Kesha wants out of her contract because even if Sony allows her to work with another producer, she and her team don’t believe that Sony will push her career given Luke’s power within the industry.

The judge clearly wasn’t convinced that any wrongdoing had occurred on Dr. Luke’s part.  But the justice system is notorious for not believing women.
