Guatemalan Rebeca Lane Raps About Violence Against Women

The Guatemalan Human Rights Commission has declared that Guatemala is one of the most dangerous places in the world to be a woman. 5000 women have been murdered since 2000.  Rebeca Lane is a young rapper, who at the age of 15 found herself in an abusive relationship.  In her attempt to find a way to deal with the trauma she started rapping and now she is part of a group of women called, “the Somos Guerreras (We are Warriors),” that is traveling around Central America and Mexico bringing attention to the violence against women.
