School Does Nothing After 13-year-old Girl Is Raped

A little girl is forced to have sex by a peer who then puts it on the internet. The first administrator she tells does not report it to the principal or the police, which by law he is supposed to do. The principal calls the police, and both they and school administrators asked why she didn’t fight harder. She is told to go home. Four days pass with no word from the school. Her mother contacts them only to be told that the investigation will go no further and that her daughter will be transferred to another school. The principal says that transfer is in process. It wasn’t.

Now this young girl is suing the school under Title IX, which has strict reporting requirements and procedures that a school has to go through to qualify for federal funding.
