Governor Cuomo announced that the minimum wage in New York State will be raised to 15 dollars an hour. That increase will take place over at least three years depending on where in the state you live. For instance, if you live in New York City it will happen over a three-year period, if you live in Westchester businesses will have six years to implement. This comes on the heels of the State of California also raising its minimum wage to $15 an hour.
