Supernova Women helps eliminate the barriers that keep people of color and victims of the drug war from entering the now legal and lucrative cannabis industry, using grassroots campaigns and education. Supernova’s events are free and “more like an inspiring college seminar, writes Gabby Bess.

Supernova was founded in Oakland by three women of color, Sunshine Lencho, Amber Senter and Nina Parks, trying, says Lensho, trying “to give people a legal framework for understanding the industry,” and to “also try to cover the actual criminal liability issues, too.”
