THOROUGHLY DEBUNKED! The New York Times Clinton email story. “Criminal Inquiry Sought In Clinton’s Use Of Email,” claiming that the Justice Department was asked to open a criminal investigation into Hillary Rodham Clinton’s mishandling of sensitive government information by two inspectors general.
Soon after the initial front-page report, the Times revised it, removing the implication that Clinton was the target of the supposed investigation but made no mention that the report had been altered for several hours before eventually issuing a correction. The false statement about a “criminal investigation” being sought has, to date, never been corrected.
