Major League Baseball (MLB) and the players union have agreed upon new policies that will hold players accountable for domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse “through appropriate disciplinary measures,” and provide necessary resources and support to victims, families, and players.

According to BuzzFeed, MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred can decide on sanctions, whether or not the player is convicted or pleads guilty.
