Obama’s deputy national security advisor Ben Rhodes told Chuck Todd on Meet the Press on Sunday that America has the necessary screening procedures for accepting Syrian refugees who are escaping ISIS-related violence. He also emphasized that these refugees are the very people who’ve suffered most, the most vulnerable, the most in need: the women and children, and orphans who’ve survived the horrors of war. Rhodes said we would not and should not turn them away.
