The board of trustees at the embattled St. George’s School agreed to appoint a new “third party independent investigator” to investigate decades of sexual abuse at the elite preparatory school that occurred primarily in the ’70s and ’80s. Rape victim Anne Scott, speaking on behalf of SGS for Healing, a group of victims and other alumni, made the announcement along with board chair Leslie Heaney, reports Bella English.

More than 40 former students have come forward since Scott first went public with her story telling their own stories of being raped or molested by staff or students at the school.
