Being the victim of oppression doesn’t entitle anyone to perpetuate an uncaring response to other victims of abuse. Yet, it happens time and time again. The “other” becomes less than, a victim who deserves it. In the case of Bill Cosby too many black men have reached out in his support, at the same time, slandering and belittling his accusers.

To call women bitches, question without the facts, especially in the face of what was and is, an unequal balance of power, is to forget quickly how the system institutionalizes oppression, and creates both victims of police violence and rape.
