The Dawnlight is a container ship with a shady past. In fact, the ship was suspected of illegal dealings with North Korea and blacklisted by the United States last year. Once owned by a Singaporean company alleged to have helped Pyongyang with its weapons program, it was sold two months later, but the ship continues to shuttle between Singapore and the Korean Peninsula, according to a review by The Washington Post.

The previous owners insist that the ship only carried commercial cargo while the new, Hong Kong-based owner could not be reached for comment. So what exactly is the Dawnlight up to?
