Brazil is set to host the summer games in August of this year in Rio de Janeiro. The Zika virus has infected many in the country causing many babies to be born with microencephaly. The World Health Organization has “declared Zika a Public Health Emergency of International Concern.” Yet none of this seems to be sparking a great deal of concern from Olympic committees around the world. Many are viewing it as just another possible virus that can be caught from mosquitos along with malaria, others are confident that the International Committee has the situation well in hand.
