The Pentagon has released a plan that outlines the steps to be taken to close Guantanamo Bay. The detention facility’s closure was one of the President’s campaign promises back in 2008.  Congress, however, has continuously blocked any effort to make it happen with concerns raised on both sides of the aisle. This plan, however, was commissioned by Congress, and its release coincides with the deadline that members set.

There are 91 prisoners still jailed at Guantanamo.
