It doesn’t seem to matter how many reports call out the film and television industry for the lack of equal opportunity for women and people of colors. Whether it’s The Women’s Media Center or The Producer’s Guild or USC’S Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, they all report the same thing; women have few opportunities in the industry at every level and as women age they disappear as men get paired with younger women in romance after romance, in film after film. Women of color have even less visibility. The only thing that will bring about change is awareness and putting women, diverse women in positions of power.  The “All Hail” to the thirty and forty something-year-old white boys has to stop. - Jan Harrison
