The US Olympic Committee, US Rowing and other national sports governing bodies are trying to sort out Zika fact from fiction.

IOC president Thomas Bach has said he is “very confident” that there will be “good conditions for all athletes and all spectators” when the Summer Olympics take place in August 2016 in Rio de Janeiro, especially since the Games will take place during Brazil’s winter, when the mosquito population decreases.

But only 20 percent of people infected with Zika show symptoms. How can anyone know for sure?
