The Look of Silence is a documentary about a man whose brother was murdered during the Indonesian massacre that took place in 1965-1966. John Oppenheimer who directed it has been the recipient of the MacArthur genius award and is now nominated for an Oscar for The Look of Silence.
The piece is about a man, Adi who seeks out the men who murdered a brother he never knew. He offers his forgiveness if they will admit to their crime.
