The Jackie and Laurie Show is one Nerdist’s newest podcasts. Jackie Kashian (host of podcast The Dork Forest) and Laurie Kilmartin (a writer on Conan) have been doing comedy “for about 7,000 years”—really since the late ’80s, and they did not fail to notice an absence of women “of a certain age” hosting comedy podcasts.
Kashian recalls being asked, almost every time she’s been interviewed, ‘What’s it like being a woman comic?’ and so the two women decided that they would answer “that damn question” on their show each and every week, writes Audra Schroeder.
