Another day, another GOP-controlled legislature, another anti-abortion bill passes in the Southern state of Florida.
Florida’s law is almost exactly identical to the Texas law—which uses onerous regulations to close down abortion clinics—that is currently being reviewed in the Supreme Court. Under the guise of supporting women’s health, the TRAP (targeted regulation of abortion providers) law is aimed at denying access to abortion, contraception and other healthcare to as many women as possible.
