Where does the prospect of a Trump presidency leave parents with children who have real fears about it? An increasing number of parents, particularly Muslim American parents, are deeply concerned about the current political climate and about Donald Trump, his racism and his open threats.

Dr. Sarah Mohiuddin, a child analyst and psychiatrist on faculty at The University of Michigan and a Muslim American tells TIME’s Julie Schwietert Collazo that she’s had many parents contacting her, saying ‘their kids can’t sleep or that they’re getting up in the middle of the night, crying.’ They tell her their children are having nightmares and that often those nightmares are about Trump.
