Hillary Clinton has not refrained from talking about race and the bias that Black Americans face. In a debate with Donald Trump, Clinton even went on to acknowledge this unconscious bias against Black Americans as one that white Americans share.
This does not sit well with some in “middle America” who would like to go back to the good old days…
Over the course of the campaign, Clinton has “spoken with nuance about race to an electorate anxious about the changing demographics and power,” says Mary C. Curtis, and reached out to Mothers of the Movement — mothers who have lost their children to police violence — even though such moves could prove risky in battleground states.
In fact, Clinton has consistently made her feelings clear and policies known, despite the political risk, when it comes to creating a more equal nation for people of color.
