Poor women from Bangladesh and Nepal think that they are headed to a better life. These women sometimes pay thousands of dollars in recruitment fees expecting to end up working in some place like Jordan or another wealthy country in the Gulf only to find themselves in trapped in Syria, living in the midst of a war zone. With little support, some end up being exploited as domestic workers and others as sex slaves.
