Both David Duke and Chris Christie have endorsed Donald Trump for President. The former head of the KKK and the current Governor of New Jersey share so many things in common. They both have endorsed a racist and sexist and xenophobe for President. They both believe in the rightness of whiteness as evidenced in Christie’s case by his support of anti-immigration rhetoric and his embrace of Trump and in Duke’s case as being a supposed “former” leader of the KKK. Christie is desperately trying to stay relevant in a conversation that has long passed him by and David Duke is doing what he has been doing for years, fighting to keep the mores and tenets of the KKK alive and well until he can latch onto a political movement. And voila, here comes Trump the perfect horse for him to hitch his wagon to.
