In a Title IX lawsuit against Tennessee, former Tennessee football player, Drae Bowles, has confirmed that he helped a woman who told him that she’d been raped by two other players. Bowles was later attacked by team-mates and told that he had “betrayed the team,” by Tennessee coach, Butch Jones, according to court documents.

Coach Jones denied the claim in a statement issued late Wednesday night, saying he did all he could to help the Bowles and assist in the judicial process..

The lawsuit, which alleges Tennessee violated Title IX regulations and created a “hostile sexual environment,” now includes eight unidentified women as plaintiffs, reports The Guardian.
